Pastor's Letter

Dear Friends in Christ,

As I look out the window at the huge piles of snow, I have to remind myself that I am writing a letter for the May Newsletter and am anticipating a week of rehersals and performaces for New Wine Coffee House. It is not the middle of January but the end of April. We have journeyed through lent and celebrated the resurrection of our Lord on Easter Morning.

As Coffee House approaches, I am especially aware of the amount of energy it takes to support the New Wine Ministry here at Zion. Many hands working together. As you read this the Coffee House week will be over or nearly over, and I hope you had the opportunity to experience this year's production of "Kingdom Tales." The New Wine group of young people have put in many hours in preparation as have the directorial and technical staff of myself, Amanda Olsen, Dr. Dan Palmquist, Naomi Palmquist, Dave Bisel and Shane Morrison, as well as all the parents who have been ready to help whenever called on.

Thank you to all who have supported New Wine by participating in the greeting card fundraiser, Coffee House, Prayer Support and a special thanks to Tony Altringer who made chocolate carmel pretzels and sold them to rais funs for New Wine.

This ministry to and with our young people can only work when everyone is in it together working to share in proclaiming the gospel message of Jesus Christ through service and building community.

The group will be sharing the message with community churches through the month of May on Sunday mornings in preparation for their tour in June to San Antonio, Texas.

Please continue to keep them in your prayers as this work in God's mission here at Zion continues.

Continue to Grow in Grace,
Pastor Loren
